SMALL POEMS| Autumn
hunters' moon
the dog pulls
at the leash
I sit in the autumn garden
wishing for a coat of feathers
like these sparrows
speckled bark
seven sparrows
on a single branch
at dawn
crows
flying into the moon
summer's end
lingers
in the white roses
autumn equinox --
under the bridge
a drifter's campfire
into
this quiet
a grasshopper
september night
waiting
for the moon
white begonia
spilling from the pot
into autumn
cedar waxwings reeling
too much berry wine
that moon
in a black sky
looking in my window
clear august morning
floating on the pond
one white feather
