SMALL POEMS| Summer
in the park
four crows eating
at the picnic table
stunning heat:
even the birds
are silent
swallows chase
insects -- sweeping
the blue floor
sun on dark leaves
canaries
in the hedgerow
heat
even the
gnats fly slowly
father's day
how he bent
over his cane
summer solstice ~
longing for someone
who doesn't long back
